Imo there should be nothing stopping women from doing any trade. The good thing about window cleaning is that it is easily accessable as a start up business, and even though there are those that would like to make the cleaning industry only accessable by people with a degree in H&S regs,it is easy enough to get a good round going by canvassing for your own customers, buying an existing round or even getting a round canvassed on your behalf(although this should be looked into a bit further)Getting enough experiance to start a round is easy enough, you could ask a local wc if they are willing to take you out to show you the ropes, maybe choose which direction you wish to go...wfp or trad...both are viable alternatives to building a decent business.I believe that you could have a big advantage as a female wc,customers love it when my wife does comes along to residential work.....So in short, and there will be a lot of other stuff to take into account,go for it if it is what you want to do,and dont be put off by small minded individuals.....but also expect to take some flak as a laugh.Best of luckDan
Saying that my wife has helped me before but I think it's a great idea for a female to build their own round. Could see it going well too.
