The new van setup combo

Hi guys

After running two bigger vans since 2007 I've decided I don't need 650 litres of water or the running costs or insurance repairs etc of the relay or the transit I previously had so I downgraded .
 
Btw not finished with the protecta cote just needed to work tomorrow so it's not fully finished but here goes

Sorted the new van out over the weekend
2002 vauxhall combo . A 350 litre tank 1 x 40ft carp pole wfp 100m microbore
4l min shurflo . 12ft pole from cleaning spot .
Merlin arrives Monday or Tuesday . Then just need a booster pump .

Btw the straps are temporary until thurs as I'm having angle iron cage made but he won't finish until Thursday .

just not much going on there, no ladders no pvc cleaner no cloths no spares no fixing brackets, no cleaning solutions, not alot really i could go on and oooonnnnnn

To the replies above fair enough it not some 10 k system for diesel heater but I use to lug the 40 ro around with 19 litre DI vessel and having the big van meant I just had so much stuff in it .. Tha I was not using . So tbh it's quite nice it all being simple .. PVC wash never used it and never needed to . My round is commercial and I sub a couple days a week off someone so I don't need loads of stuff . I will take a pic with the clothes in . Mine are what color are yours ;-) .... Lol

It was going to be a progress thread and to show anyone who was considering the same van and tank setup what it's like .

For those that would like to see i will post pics as and when things change .

i've got a combo van with same tank as you, i dont lug around a 40" ro and tonnes of gear you dont need, i think the combo is an ideal van for a single operator cheap to run and plenty of space for gear,

keep it simple you got it right shawn. which engine you got in yours? and what sort of mpg you getting?

hi mate

i just got it , thing is i earn really good hourly rates but i dont work everyday and just like to keep things simple best way :-) for me that is.

i have the 1.7 di on a 52 plate only had it since thursday last week but i was getting like 25mpg max on my relay.

and i was lugging around things i did not need plus i use to do bigger commercial stuff that needed 3 guys hence the 3 seater transit and relay . but i have found i have less hassle or agro working on my own. and earn the same sometimes even more

just put £10.00 diesel in when i got it as i had that spare after paying for the van. and i have driven 70 miles and still have a bit left.

they are great little vans.

like you say mate keep it simple,why have a van full of cr*p what you only use once a month,some folk wont be impressed unless you spent your life saving on a system

I cleared out my Movano over the weekend, out came the guttervac and fittings/ hose, generator, some spare poles and it drives like a different van. Much lighter and loads of spare space. I just need to convince myself I can live with a 400 litre tank and I will be downsizing too. Very sensible Shawn.
