All that with 2 blokes in has got to be way over the payload :o

Of what concern is it of yours? Why are there so many idiots on here who have to stick there noses in.

If I start a topic asking do you think I'm over my payload? Then feel free to reply with your thoughts.
bit touchy arent we ;D ;D ;D ;D

Tidy and professional - nice. Like all the fittings for everything rather than mine which is a lucky dip affair.

By the way - have been wanting to ask this for a while - what are the sprayers (the plastic ones that you spray flowers with) for?? - are they for inside cleans that contain soapy water??

Also, remember someone saying that it is easier / better to use pure water in one of these containers - what for?? can you do insides with pure water - what is the advantage??
cheers,
Rob

Ron, they have water and a tiny bit of gh4 in, they are for a couple of houses we do that have Georgian and leaded windows, I give them a fine spray with the bottles and dry with a microfibre cloth, works a treat.

Woops, it was meant to be gg4, you can get it from most window cleaning supply shops, it's easier to use than fairy with micro fibre cloths

900kg - say full tank of 650kg+tank and cage and 2 hose reels poles total about 710kg say + 90kg person thats 800kg now the only way you can be over the limit is if my 2nd worker is over 100kg which he wont be therefor if i get this setup it would be within the payload.

so its not well over the limit i think its within, and if you are it might only by 10-20kg that would be the extra person maybe, so if you have 2 men in van you can just fill it to 625 and fill up on site when your water goes down .

i think these vans are the best buy massive payload still small van perfect for domestic you dont want anything to big luggin about london trying to park

Exactly, you have done your home work, when I have my trolley in the back and a few barrels I don't fill the tank to the brim.

There are transits with a lower payload than the connect, but nobody would think anything of it because it's a bug van, people see the connect and think it can't be big or man enough to carry the weight.

Btw how's the van search going crystal?

Don't quote me on this but--

I would of thought the cage and 2 hose reels poles and all the other stuff you would carry would be well over the 60kg you are allowing.

Lee i dont know if i fancey a trek to liverpool to pick it up, one sold in wembly the other day for £2.4 76k 03 well gutted !

Darren

cage etc is about 50kg i know that for a fact cos i called pure freedom and he did say its about 50kg the 2x hose reels with water could be 10kg each poles are light its silly mentioning them but ok 1x gardiner 1.5kg 1x extel 31 foot 4kg with brushes so 50+10+10+1.5+4 = about 76 kgs, i dont think its well over it cant be much more then this,

so

76kg
650kg
me 90kg

total so far about 816kg it cant be much more then this and thats fully loaded

if the 2nd worker is more then 74kg ill simply fill 25 liters less or he can meet me on site for the 1st job

honesty i think connect is the way forward for domestic work around london transporters cost to much i feel big transits other larger vans are overkill ,parking etc.

Crystal I think you are really under estimating your weight limits-

Metal hose reel with 100m 8mm hose is over 20kg each

You only have to look at the back of Lee's van and see all the extra equipment needed and you will be surprised the amount of stuff you aquire even if you don't want to.

I have a vivaro with 650l purefreedom system and sometimes I think its not big enough....

Thanks for all your input darren i must sound like im convincing my self but i do think the large connect can work at least with a ful tank the 2nd worker can meet on site.

8kg worth of fuel (lol this will get me to work and bck ill put £10 a day if need)
me 90kg
water 650kg
hose reels 40kg (ill give you that)
battery 10kg
cage etc 50kg
poles and unforseen things no chance more then 20kgs (thats being generous)

so that can be 868kg max

right well , fully loaded there is no way its over 900kg with just myself, im sure you would agree its the 2nd person that can make it go over.?

when i am in a position to offer a job to someone what i can do is this , meet me on site for the 1st job 9am which will be a big house (1 hours worth of 2x pole) that will reduce the KG by at least 110kg, so there you go! that or fill less if you want worker with you from house to job!
