ladder mitt

whats the best for safety at top of ladder a ladder mit or a ladder pad is there any diference are they any good

Better still, use a pointed ladder.

After a good few years trad cleaning, I'd never go back to using a standard ladder.

i have a pair of red mitts if u want them for FREE ... used them for 1 day when I was trad ... didnt like em

im using 2 lengths of grey pipe insulation on my ladder(held on by velcro straps. these go down to the second rung from the top, so work great on upper window sills. very good grip

Iv got pieces of wood cut to size so they slip inside the top of ladder and bolted to secure in place,i dont place my ladder on the sills tho unless the  top window is to low

I don't want to harp on but get a pointed extendable ladder.

They are so much more stable and are much easier to use on uneven ground and if positioned right, the ladder cannot move sideways. Also, if you keep the rubber bit clean, it doesn't mark window frames plus you've many more options of where to place the ladder.

I now wouldn't use a normal ladder for anything especially window cleaning. Once you've got used to an A frame, you'd never go back to a normal ladder. Ask any w/c'er who uses one and you'll get the same answer.
