Fair enough...but mate, just do some research on the atkins website, follow that and find some workout programs. Join Gym if you must, £30 a month...dunna pay £30 a hour bud.

Follow atkins and you will loose itreally quick just try and vary the meals...it can get boring and repetitive.

Im not against it, its just hard.

ew right

I went from 12 stone to 8.5 - there was no way I could retain it, meant eating nothing, at all.

Admittedly yes im about 10.5 I dont mind saying this, but I want to lose 7lbs and its bloody hard, age factors into it also.

Body cant do it.  It kind of sets itself in its own environment, will never be thin, but constantly watch what I eat.

absolute rubbish matt!dont listen to this crank!! ;D ;D ;D

cut down on potatoes, bread and cut out all white bread/pasta products!!

eat more protein at mealtimes(keeps you fuller for longer)

increase consumption of low fat dairy products(cheese, milk, yogurt)

snack on fruit and veg

plenty of good fats(oily fish,olive oil,nuts etc)

keep biscuits,cakes,pastries to a minimum.

drink tea and coffee in moderation and plenty of water.

avoid greasy fry ups unless its a sunday!!(eat porridge with a banana for breakfast or scrabbled eggs on wholemeal toast) ;)

exercise a bit more

if you take this advice youll loose weight without a shadow of a doubt!!
price higher/work harder!

Thing is Matt I have tried dieting, they dont work.

I NEED! educating. I also NEED someone to help me, Ive recovered from various addictions in the past and couldnt have done them alone. Dieting is very lonesome in fact.

Ill gladly pay £30 an hour if I can lose 2 stone and be educated into the bargain, in a manner which I believe at the moment is contrary to much popular opinion. The thing is if we are mis-informed about managing our body image (the food we eat and what is good and what is bad) BUT use that mis-information we are never going to overcome the obstacles we need to to to become healthy.

Yep Daz

Carbs are a no no unless you can burn the buggers off.  Imagine a large plate of pasta, how you going to get rid of that?

Rice - large bowl of that - how are you going to burn that off?

Jacket potatoe, yea in theory it keeps you full, and your not going to snack?

Its down to no snacking at all.

Be full on carbs in the morning and it will see you through, everybody picks at stuff during the day

Matt, if you're snacking through the day eating sh!t I would recommend eating a bagal around 11. You will be amazed by the results. Granted it's like eating a breeze block but they are very filling. Regarding pasta and rice. You need to eat wholegrain , as the White stuff is full of crap, and don't forget , more than a handful is a panfull.

The big food companies invest millions and millions every year on advertising, "helping" us make choices when we go shopping. I used to see a physio about a back problem a few years ago and he insists that the cereal companies will be seen in the future, how we view tobbaco companies today. Unhealthy amounts of sugar to say the least.
The real fatties are literally starving themselves of nutrients by eating all the wrong stuff. That's why the eat so much.
When I was a kid {long time ago}, there was not one fat kid at primary school. Now look at them. We are just ten years behind the US. I remember seeing a news programme about the fat yanks and here we are right along side them. A few extra pounds is fine, but 20 stone plus is a big problem.

I'm sure i'd let some meat head at the gym advise me on lifestyle. He reads too many magazines and roids.I bet he's about twenty seven and in good shape.

When i was twenty seven i was in good shape too. In fact i was still in good shape gone forty.I am a fatty now and do need to diet and excercise.

The thing that stops me, and will probably stop you is time.Everyone joins a gym in january, it's a cliche. Most stop going by march.

The nearer the gym is to your home (the more convenient) the best chance you have. Human nature being what is you have probably picked a good gym, maybe a great gym, but i bet it's miles away.Partners aren't much help either- i'll come we can go three times a week together it will be great- They don't of course and if you do manage to look a little more svelt you get in the neck for that too.

Sorry everythings geared to your being a lard arse.
