VI.3) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The initial framework period is for two years with the potential to extend
the framework term for up to two years subject to contractor performance
to the maximum of 4 years. This tender exercise includes a
mini-competition to award the following work.
Lot 1 - Provision of Building and Window Cleaning Services for Corporate
Administrative Buildings.
Lot 2 - Provision of Building Cleaning Services – Chichester and Arun
area.
Lot 3 - Provision of Building Cleaning Services – Crawley, Horsham and
Mid-Sussex area.
Lot 4 - Provision of Building Cleaning Services – Worthing and Adur area.
Lot 5 - Provision of Window Cleaning Services – Chichester and Arun area.
Lot 6 - Provision of Window Cleaning Services – Crawley, Horsham and
Mid-Sussex area.
Lot 7 - Provision of Window Cleaning Services – Worthing and Adur area.
Suppliers will be expected to deliver services that demonstrate a Best
Value approach as defined by the government. Public Liability Insurance to
a minimun of 10 000 000 GBP and Employers Liability Insurance to a minimum
of 10 000 000 GBP will be required.
West Sussex County Council is a Public Authority within the meaning of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 and all correspondence received will be
dealt with in accordance with the Act.
The County Council will enter into the contract for itself and on behalf
of other public bodies which are, contracting authorities, within the
meaning of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 and which exist or are
established or otherwise exercise some or all of their statutory functions
within the administrative county of West Sussex (the “Relevant Public
Bodies”).
Any such Relevant Public Body shall be entitled, with the prior written
consent of the Authority, to access and use the contract on the same or
substantially the same terms and conditions as agreed with the County
Council. The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in
this procurement exercise.
