Crackdown on wfp users
« on: December 30, 2010, 08:19:57 pm »
Heard through the grapevine today that it be suggested a crackdown on wfp users!

Mainly there seems to be a lot of users not displaying saftey signs or are not displaying enough of them at there work place!

Christ even the new ionic video of the glyder pole on youtube has window cleaners working without a saftey sign in sight this shows one window cleaner working in front of Fratelli trailing hoses right were any member of public could trip!

It seems like a good idea and about time to,  as some cleaners just don`t put any out, i see them day in/out health &safety brought about the resticted use of ladders and now need to do something about the use of saftey signs,

James. I couldn't agree more. As per your last line we do need to do something about the use of safety signs.
Only this week I was walking through the local shopping mall when the crowd cleared and without any warning I was faced with a stationary warning triangle. Even though it was bright yellow and warning me of a wet floor it just appeared from nowhere. Had I been on the phone or not paying attention I would have been up on my backside.
I think signs warning us of danger are a hazard and should be banned on H and S grounds. I'm going to beat the drums, send out the pigeons and rattle the grapevine on this one so everyone knows about it. If we all do the same then we may not need to use common sense.

Just report it to your local police.  ;D ;D or, if it looks like brass try and weigh it in.  ;D
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Ds. ! use both and always carry at least 2 signs!

The reason being that i do some houses that have algae on the paving slabs and dont want anyone slipping on the wet surface,

I usally put one at the front side and back side of a house, this is because a lot of houses have side doors,
ive got warning signs mate , just wondered how it would effect a back pack / trolley user with no trailing hose .
