offer as little as possible

I would just go with a new 4040 from gaps get up and running for about 400 ish. If your tap pressure is low add a booster pump

40/40 From Gaps if I where you, unless you are on a thight buget,always go for new gear when its your lively hood.

I like the idea of having that sort of unit in the van so it can be filled up anywhere and also bought in during bad weather that pure freedom one looks good but is the 20" R/O going to perform as well as a 40" and will it need replacing more often cheers all

in 5 years of having my business i have replaced 1 HF5 4040. we use about 1500 litres a day. depends how much water you use but even a 20 inch i'm sure if you regularly back flushed it would be good for years. i abuse mine really as i forget to change prefilters and back flush regular and i still have had good use

Gaps water ROs are £500. He'll be fortunate to get 1K IMO.

he never actually says he bought it new, It implies to me that he got it second hand, I may be wrong (for a change  ) But its a hard one to guess, I would be interested if it actually produces the amount it says, But i doubt what I would be willing to pay is any where near what he wants, I am broke so it would have to be about fifty quid, but realistically I would not go over 300 quid. But thats just me.

£400 is a good price, £300 is all its worth for me, I would only use it as a static ro unit filling a IBC up. the pump,trolley reel etc are no use to me personally. If you buy it and need somewhere to store it until you can fetch it, I am in Derby so I could pick it up and stick in my shed if needs be for a while.

cheers chopsie I appreciate that but spending £400 i would want to see it first anyway and the work i have to do in chesterfield can be done at any time as it the misuses nan's house thats empty so i would just tie it all in together
