I don't think that it's smart to find a lead selling company because if they sell leads to you they also sell leads to your competitors. Then you and your competitors come and bid a project and in order to get it you lower your prices and no one wins from this situation. It's much better if you have a customer who contacted you from your website, these customers are much better and very often you might be the only bidder for their project.

I've used Companeo and ServiceMagic before but not sure whether I'd be enthusiastic about using them again in the near future - a Google search for the services which I offer doesn't place either of them on Page 1 and that's where my potential customers are likely to look first. I'm aware that they also do e mail marketing but I don't think that they're right for me at the moment.

There aren't any others that I know of or have used - OJEC is worth checking periodically for sub tender opportunities and there are a number of sites, free and otherwise, which will allow easy access and search facilities.

Thanks very much for your advice Pristine Cleaning, i didn't hear too many good things about Campaneo or Servicemagic, i have signed up with the latter but it has been a week now and didn't get a single lead!
i gave up on searching for leads i've just had 5000 leaflets printed and will do a door 2 door leaflet distribution to see how it works.
Have you ever got any contracts out of leaflet distribution at all?

I've never tried leaflet distribution but it's all horses for courses. I think that leaflet distribution might be more effective in window cleaning or for domestic work but that's just a guess since I don't do either.
