Fairy
« on: December 19, 2010, 08:56:16 pm »
so ive been doing trad work for a good while now and ive used a few detergents but after running out of unger liquid i had no choice but to go back to fairy (the stuff i first started with) just for a while until i order some more "evens: hard surfice cleaner"

But to be totally honest i really dont notice much if any difference between proper winy soap and fairy, except for fairy seems a bit sticky on the hands, and im assuming sticky on the glass therefore attracting dirt. Which aint a bad thing for us windys now is it  ;)

It's the buildup of that stickiness or grease thats the problem for me on anything but straight glass, and then in the cloths, appo's and the washing machines.

Overall proper cleaning stuff is saving me money in the long run :)

I use Fairy with the antibacterial agent, and add a capful of vinegar to the water. In the summer I also filter the water through one of those filter jugs you use in the kitchen, which does make the windows stay cleaner for longer. Makes the windows really gleam as well!  :)

I think we all go through phases of trying different stuff, but we always end up back on the good ol' green stuff.

I don't see a problem with it; just don't use too much; you only want enough to give you some lubrication!

But for window cleaning I like Unger fluid.  ;D

(No, we use Fairy; it's great).
