1make sure you fill your tank with hot water from the house no need to buy hot water heaters etc lag tank with thick blankets then wrap thin strips of reflective radiator foil around all pipes from tank to the hose reel and do the same with the pump put a towel over the hose reel at night seal skinz gloves are a must and the best thing of all is a proteam portable gas heater very small but give out 1.2 kw of heat  after you have filled your tank turn heater on for 15 mins your van will be like a sauna in the back turn it of away you go added bonus if your hands get cold turn it 2 mins no more cold hands all the heaters are 30 pounds on the net one canister of gas should last you five to six days the heaters use one hundred grams of gas an hour hope this helps some one do not leave heater on while driving

i just bought some of those gloves,

great for pole work ,but i do not rate them for trad, as in too hard at the ends for detailing

been brilliant on the bike though 8)

and well worth the money

but for trad i prefer my glacier curves
