Worked in -4 with hot on Thursday.

I have just been defrosting the car, I poured some hot water on the conservatory windows and it froze, it's -3 here. The conservatory is heated too.

You poured hot water on glass which is -3. If you were cleaning the glass with a hot wfp system by the time you rinse the glass you have taken the chill out of the glass.

Thats my theory anyway.

I worked in -4 without issue.

Its not a miracle solution,.. it won't improve driving conditions, it isn't much use on unheated properties & you have to be very careful to salt wherever water splashes,.. but yes, done right you will get a lot more done with a hot system.

I am cold water WFP, but the 1st lot of snow I was working in -6 and had no problems, but on Friday last week it was -3 and water was freezing on windows.
Don't make sense I know, but it was also a very strong cold wind on the Friday, which i imagine caused it to freeze at lower temperature.
So its not just how cold it is, its also its other factors like the wind.
