Who has lost next...
« on: December 15, 2010, 04:06:20 pm »
Found out that i have lost my jobs with next due to national companys taking the contracts to the stores.
Scumbags.  >:(
I will make it my mission now, if i find out any of their other jobs to undercut their prices, see how they bloody well like the taste off that!
Rant over......for now

Agreed! I could charge less and do a half arsed job on select windows.
But like you say,it seems its the way these stores are going...
Thank god for the smaller loyal independant company's,without these it would all be going tits up!

joke is - half the time the one bigger contracter - normally London based office - just sub it out at half the cost again.

its all rubbish n stupid but they just take them on a posh lunch and have a meeting ....

Whats pushing my buttons at the mo is if i went round and deliberatly undercut windies on the jobs they do,it would be wrong.
But what is it if a 'national' company does if its not deliberatly undercuting??

its called business, just put a offer in to head office cheaper than what they are getting done for now,  get the contracts and then come on here and sub it out

i was talking to a bloke whos shop use to get done 2 times a week now it will get done 1 a fortnight,  just saved 75% on the window cleaning budget,  and that is all that matters

to be fair it isnt always the contracters chasing the jobs, sometimes the job ie Next head office will want one invoice and one contracter to deal with as it cuts on time and staff needed to sort out paperwork ... then i saves them money on staff ... safe contracter schemes ....

a bet a good 80% isnt undercut prices tho - its just more about the office making the work load lighter n saving on time n staff.

No i don't,but it's a 3 year contract so i doubt undercutting their price would work...

Got my letter to day it will stop in jan next year. big job too in side a shoping center you have to be done by 930 in the morning. Lets see how they do that?

Serious question, can't you MAKE your company look nationwide?

For example, create a professional brand that includes a smart name, a clean website and perhaps a mailbox in London as your head office. You're not doing anything dishonest.
