chemspec DFC 210 v Pureclean
« on: December 14, 2010, 05:27:23 pm »
anyone used Chemspec  DFC210 ? or compared it to Pureclean.

both are about the same price but the DFC dilutes 128-1 where the pureclean is 60-1

I bought some DFC this morning and used it on a trashed student house and it did a excellent job, its too soon to say its good stuff but it worked well today

I've used both Mike, got to say I prefer Pureclean.

I think it was August this year that I decided to use Pureclean on every job for a whole month.

Apart from using solvents on some spots, I never felt the need to use anything with more oomph.

Pureclean all day long. Got through a 20litres of 105 and really wanted to like it but never bought it again.

I use DFC 210, mix it with energiser and it will cut through heavy soiling. As you say Mike it is very economical.

Never tried Chemspecs stuff but used to use pureclean all the time a couple of years since but dont anymore.
Use it as a spotter now and then on food and drink spills.

I've been using DFC210 I can't tell the difference between it and Pureclean they both offer IMO identical cleaning.

I use it at 128-1, never had to use it any stronger. If I need to boost it I use Chemspec energiser.

Ive tried both and found especially when sprayed on hot the dfc removes alot more of the black type of spots you find on carpets. Apart from that i think you get a similar result.

Hi Guys

Looking through the data sheets I would suspect both are sodium tripolyhosphate , the microsplitter chemical.

The Chemspec one is slightly higher pH

Cheers

but are they pure sodium tripolyhosphate or do they contain fillers, which would explain why DFC can be diluted nearly twice as much as pureclean ( it has more active ingredient)

I dilute it to 128-1 approx, still not sure about draft mark removal with it though.

Daryl can't see it on their website :-\

been using DFC for a few days and I'm not totally convinced its good stuff, might try using it a bit stronger.

DFC 105/210 doesn't contain phosphates.

I still have some of the prototype 105 powder in my office drawer.

SPM is available but you have to ring up for it. I now use it instead of pureclean. The downside is it comes in 15kg tubs.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
