When doing windows trad, most use a scrim for frames, sills, etc and microfibres for going around the glass.

The best scrims - the ones that last forever - are usually made from hemp but others are usually high grade linen. Both seem to last equally. It's the cheap cotton ones that fall to pieces after a few months.

I buy mine from the Cleaning Warehouse.

soap nation are good and very realiable.

only use microfiber on leaded or on geroian, proper scrim are best for normal trad work.
