Freedom Trolley trouble??
« on: December 11, 2010, 05:29:58 pm »
Our Trolley just slowly died in the deep freeze about 10 days ago
Pump seemed to be running but no water passing through, tried everything to clear airlocks as thats the most common problem - no joy.
Took it home recharged the battery, charger showing battery fully charged - no joy.
Ordered new battery, fully charged, hooked it up, pump sounds fine - no joy.

Ran cold water mains through to purge airlocks, started it up - no joy.

What do you think?  New pump?

i had the same, if pump runs it is likely to be the diaphragm as some resin has prob got into pump, i ordered new diaphragm for about 15 quid and it runs a treat again.
hope this helps

About to go and try above task, I hope you meant "re-allign" the impeller, 'cause I don't know what you mean otherwise.
Thanks

Dismantled pump, cleaned diaphragm, no sign of any cracks or leaks, reassembled, pump running fine but... no suction - no joy.

Yes, thats all I can do now.  It is nearly 4 years old and has worked hard.  My suspicion is that the cam which creates the vacuum has worn.
