If its on all surfaces then you'll need to vent the room for a bit as the dust will keep coming back and settling on the surfaces. If theres a large amount of dust still present I normally open the windows and stick a fan on blowing towards the window this clears the room of surplus dust then it shouldnt return when you clean after venting.

Mmmm blowing dust from worktops or opening windows and doors only moves the dust around, it doesn't magically flow out the door

You have to remove the dust, try using an ostrich feather duster which by their very nature hold onto the dust not just push it around

Try it and see you will be surprised

Doing some builders cleans, I had the same problem.  That is if I understand correctly what you are asking.  The problem is when you wet wipe the dust mixes with the water and when left to dry the water evaporates and the dust that was in the water is back on the counter tops, sometimes looking worse than when you started.

Always start at the top of all your cleaning and work you way down to ensure that you are not knocking dust onto surfaces that you have already cleaned (you are probably doing this but wanted to give it a mention).  With the counter tops, dust them first to get the big stuff off.  Then wet wipe them with your product.  The next part takes a lot of rags but always worked for me, take a dry rag and wipe the counter top dry, soaking up all the product and water into the dry rag, almost as if you were trying to polish the counter.  It worked on the sinks and taps as well.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Vacuum the work top to remove the dust, spray chemical on it , wet cloth it off, the dry off works every time

vacuum the dust, then wipe with a clean, dry microfibre cloth. Buff up. No water.

As above. Add a air mover with ducking vented outside. Air exchange :)

Hi

With builders and dust in general you don't use any 'cloths', this just moves the dirt from one place to another and will leave streaks.

use instead kitchen towel and the dust gets captured into the towel and then you throw it away with the dust, this way you don't recontaminate the surface.

Once you have removed the dust with your product and kitchen towel you can buff up with window cleaner so it shines.

Was it a builders clean or regular clean after builders work? If worktops are not to be used till opening then sheet them over after cleaning the 1st time and keep on top of the rest of the dust throughout building.
