Pure water @ £0.15 per litre
«

Buying pure water at 15p per litre sounds good to me espesially as were on a water meter but is it financialy viable ?
r/o systems aren't cheap but there not so expensive that i shouldn't own one, so what im wondering is it a easy way of getting on with wfp trolley sys (buying it in 25l cans that is)
curious

Hi ChrisC
Are you asking how much it costs per litre if you are on a meter?
If you are - personnaly I don't know but I do know another local window cleaner who uses WFP and he doesn't think the cost enough to worry about in terms of his business.
Hi Dave
Er...... maybe not to Penzance though....

Do you think it's actually £0.015 per litre? (If we're talking about metereage here.)
That is £1.50 per 1000 litres. Sounds more realistic to me!

Hey what do I know, but I've had the calculator out all day, sitting in front of this idiot computer screen learning about pure water systems.
I think if you are using roughly 2000L pw it'll cost about £10 on your bill. I'm on a meter. What's that? About .05p per litre.
A little knowledge is dangerous!

Where would you be buying your water at that price? 15p per litre?
It'd be far more cost effective to brew your own - preferably with an R/O, but even with resin only it'd be far cheaper.

http://www.d.co.uk/
yes i polished it off with DI resin
i started off using this, its refillable and costs about 10 quid, add it to your RO and your all set (some of the RO from RO-MAN come with a DI cart anyways
it comes with all the fittings etc
as my RO brings the water down to about 7 or 8
10 quid of resin lasted me near 8 months

Matt
What size RO (gpd) have you got??
I have had my wfp for about a month now along with my RO (50gpd) and was looking at buying resin but not sure if i should go for the 25kg bag as it works out cheaper.
My tds goes down to about 3 - 4 before it goes through DI.
If it lasts that long i'm not sure i will need that size bag as i am not sure if there is a sort of use by date with resin??
