Got halfway to Greenock.............turned back by police ( 7 vehicles in smash ) halfway back to Bridge of Weir two cars blocked the road ( one had spun and ended on it's roof ) got back two hours later.

Most people don't have a clue about driving in snow, wish they'd stay at home!

Absolute chaos in Edinburgh. Been out twice in the last 10 day apart from getting the basics in from the local shop (beer and baccy)
I was going to try and dig the van out today but snowing heavy again.
I don`t recon I`ll be cleaning any carpets this year.  :-\

Hi Guys

Did my first job for 5 days, hardly any snow in North Essex but lot's still in South Essex.

It is thawing slowly but has been a nightmare work wise.

Cheers

Problem here in West Yorkshire,is that its so cold the snow hasn't melted.Main roads are OK,but thats no good when all your jobs are in small back streets or cul de sacs.Just checked 5 day forecast with Met Office, seems to warm up on Friday.

I use this for fairly accurate reports for windsurfing.

Click on the nearest town and get 5 day, 3 hour interval forecasts.

My solution hoses are frozen by the time i set up here in York :o :o

Proper doin my head in now, had to be pushed out of a street this morning ;D
I let this old lady have a go while i pushed and she nearly burnt my clutch, it stank and the tyres were smoking lol

Had to cancel loads, thankfully most are booking in for next week but the phone has been dead.

Should pick up when it turns to slush and gets walked in on the carpets hahaha

First day at work since last Monday.
Everything that was postponed has been re-booked, except for one £150 job.

Phones are dead though - December could either end up being crazy manic once everything thaws or the worst month of the year  ::)

had a few flood jobs in when the thaw came so all is not bad. We have not had it as bad as alot of places, but still lost a few days work.

Got stuck on my first job in Foxbar today. Luckily there was an AA guy putting snow chains on his van living 2 doors down

He helped dig me out and got me down the end of his street. Must admit Paisley was a nightmare today, any road with a gradient on it was near impossible to get up.

I have a couple of buckets of girt and a shovel in the van for emergencies.( Compliments of the council grit bins) ;D
