traditional windy's that employ could you tell me how you go about it ie insurancee and can you send them out on there own

you just get employers liability as normal, they can work alone but you need to put a few H&S measure in place for lone workers. I think hourly contact is supposed to be made etc via phone or radio.

We employed as trad until 2005.

Employee safety was the main reason we switched to wfp.

Getting liability insurance that includes sending employees up ladders is becoming more and more expensive.

IMO we would struggle to get suitable insurance for ladder work at even a half way reasonable price, mainly due to recent insurance price rises and recent claims.

When we were insured for ladders we did send employees out on their own (well in twos) without issue, and I reckon it will be no different now (I could be wrong) although you are probably going to have to stump up.
