I live in a upstairs flat on a water meter i need about 3000 litres a month at the moment

i heard you can use two di one whick is used like a ro and the other to polish it is it going to work
my tds is 240

is this going to work if so will it eat resin as the way i look at it is i will pay alot for waste and water if i used a ro

To give you a guide- mine is=

400ltr van mount, 90 (odd) ppm tap water, twin 11ltr vessels with Tulsion resin & I use 2 bags of resin per year.

Have you got family or friends who have softer water?

It will work but it won't be cheap.

The best way to do it is rotate the bottles. The one that was the polisher becomes the RO when the tds creeps up, then you replace the resin in the one that was the RO an use it as the polisher.

I ran di only to begin with, my tds is only 50 though.

It costs me far less to run a static RO but I have no meter (yet).

I live in an upstairs flat on a water meter woody.my tap tds is usually about 35.if i had a tap tds like yours a wouldnt of even considered going wfp.itll cost you a fortune in resin if you stay DI ONLY.if you find a way to set up a ro itll cost you a fortune in water due to the waste!! : : :

i use about 4000 litres a month and a 25kg bag lasts 5-6 months.

Today= ZERO

It depends, usually, or near enough. sometimes more, no meters in scotland & soft water. My DI's are on the van so I can fill/top up anywhere.

i dont mind paying for a bag off resin a month at say 70 quid as using ro will proberly cost that wth waste and clean water

i just dont know what to do as realy wanted to go water fed pole got every thing else now
family tds is higher than mine i looked at ro in my price range and 250 quidish the ones i can afford would take to long any suggestions guys

if it does cost you a sack a month , whats that £20 a week tops . the pros no waste water ,  no r o taking up room in your flat or van , no messing about with filters . you also get pure water on demand  and can fill yuor tank or cannisters in a matter of minutes  rather than hours with an r o.  go for it its not such a big gamble

could'nt you buy some water from a fellow windy,even if you payed £10 per fill with a 500 tank you're only looking at £60 a month,sorted
