it can be converted to a bigger bucket or a dustbin on a sack truck which is more than 18L like most the backpacks you buy? !

I am doing something similar to your dustbin idea. I have a broken wcw backpack which i am using the pump and battery out of to make a trolley with a sac truck, and use 2x 25 litre drums on it. Its been an on going project for at least six month though!!

might as well get a proper 50L PURE FREEDOM TROLLEY if your using it day in/day out on compact domestics.itll cause you hassle with bit breaking off  i bet etc, etc.

false economy to try and do diy things like this on the cheap IMO.

I've got a 35ltr trolley, and that's a pain having to fill up so often - imagine how quickly that bucket would need re-filling.

Waste of time

i have a spare wcw bottom that houses pump battery etc,i shall attach them to my trolley with some sort of bracket then i shall attach the hose through a bottle top and then put a full 25 litre bottle on the trolley and put the hose, its so easy and will be so effective.
Will be just as good as a 25 litre pure freedom and best thing is i already have all the bits required!
when i get chance i shall knock it up and post some pics here!
Hope everybody else makes one up and posts there pics!
Well done ian wilson!

although i'm new to this surly buying a backpack would be easier and look more professional. surly if you want to be taken seriously £100-£200 is nothing?

as for a dustbin on sack a barrow. wheelie bin? but it would look ridicules would you employ someone who turned up with a bin? i know i wouldn't

I agree with mark, its all well and good doing a diy trolley that resembles something shop bought but a dustbin on a trolley with a pump from a car will look totally ridiculous, its almost as bad an idea as the cleaning custies windows twice a month for the same money as ther paying him already for doing the once a month!!!

I've got myself a 35 litre solid blue box from Tesco today with a  lockable lid for 11 quid.I'm gonna use that with a spare backpack and a lightweight trolley I got with a back pack.I know one thing I  would rather push that round than a 50 litre pf trolley.
