sources of water
« on: November 14, 2010, 04:10:34 pm »
besides the tap and rain water, does any one else get there water from any where else,

the reason i ask is i can get water for free from a well, in my mates back,  but also the is a garage near me that uses hot water to wash the cars and it has a tds of 109,  the local water here is 80 - 90 , as i was thinking since winter is here, could i get away with filling up with the hot water from the car wash, will take me about 7 mins and cost £2  or am i best just sticking to the tap and speanding nearly a hour a nite  as pressure is crap

your thoughts please?

i have a brook running down the side of my house i have been thinking about getting it from there. does it still have to be pumped through the fiters, or can it just go through a sediment filter?
