Can someone tell me why vacs are sold with this large sized hose and sections when the nozzle is only 35mm diameter?
If it fits through the nozzle then surely the crud will go down 38mm of tubing as well as 50mm? Or am I not thinking straight?

there is a thread on here somewhere i think from yesterday a lad used his vac for the firs time and it was still a issue trying to suck some of the poope down the 50mm tube sections pine needles etc
i reckon 38mm dia will be grief

that was me and yes the pine needles were a no go , had to do it by hand in the end
the needles were 3 inches long and just blocked the end up

all the kit amd still had to work off a ladder lol

not very encouraging! I would have thought such a powerful triple motor vac would have broken up the needles and forced them through the tubing?

So whats all the stories about gutter vacs being able to lift roof tiles and house bricks up?

i have a eastern trading vac and for the standard crap in the gutters it was more than enough yesterday
the only way to discribe not being able to suck them up is when you try they form like a mat over the opening some do go down but i think because of their length and the sheer volume of them it was just to much
As regards a brick i think if it has direct suction with no loss then it would lift a brick

So I guess you've got the 240v version and use your custies electric, weren't you tempted to go for a 110v so you can work the job's that you can't get a power supple from? apart from the machine itself how do you find the suction poles that Eastern supply and their attachments?

I am now thinking of getting the Tech Clean machine because I want need a 110v machine and Eastern wont have any until mid December. Do you think the suction tubing from Eastern would be compatible with the Tech Clean machine? or the tubing that is being sold on ebay for 160 squid?

And yes i have the 240 eastern  vac  with regard to the poles i have made a few ajustments see pic
 the poles come with an inner sleave , and the main lengths fit onto them with no fixings so i have drilled and taped them with an 8mm bolt am now going to fit an eye bolt so as i can do them up with out a spanner

no  they are the eastern ones
but i just thought that if they came loose above someones conservatory roof the pole might go through the roof 
And that would be the last thing i would need lol

Dont understand" I thought you could only use a 110v with a generator? or plug the 110v into a transformer to use with a 240 mains power socket? so you've got the 240v Eastern Trading machine and your still able to use a generator to power a 240v machine when you haven't got an electrical supply?

simon i the pic of the genny it has tree plugs two yellow ones 110v and one blue one240v it has a switch so you can either have one or the other

i want a 110v machine if possible. easier to ge tonto sites and stuff and a lot safer to use.
