What's the best battery for a trolley system? I have an 85amp hr leisure battery on mine and was thinking about something lighter.
I don't want one that's going to go flat on me so was thinking about a 20 amp hr mobility scooter or golf caddy battery. Do any of you guys use one of these? The leisure battery only needs charging every few days but it's no hassle to charge a smaller one over night.

we us litttle 16 amps hour ones on our car  systems they are light and last all day  some times two about £20.00 each

I found Barden Energy Solutions 01489 570770 to be great at matching the right battery for the job. Talk to one of their experts and they will charge trade price and despatch straight away.
For a Shurflo 8000 series 100 psi pump continuous working for 5 hours they provided -
Yuasa cyclic 12v 38AH sealed battery (mount it anyway up, will not spill)
12v SLA charger YCP4A12 (fast automatic, matched to the battery)
Total £117.17 inc VAT & delivery.
The battery is half the size of a normal car battery, as well as lighter and fits on my sack truck based trolley a treat.

Just a little word of warning.

My Broxburn system comes with a 17 amp hour battery and I found it did not last more than 3/4 hours before getting tired and so rigged up a tray in the bottom of the trolley to carry an 85 amp hour battery which is more than enough.

How about a happy medium - a 30 amp hour m/cycle battery?
