Below is another e-mail sent which also contains complaints about bent poles from another window cleaning operator, bought from this company at about the same period we purchased our poles i have asked the company to reply to any of the e-mails sent but so far they have not replied to one, not a very professional attitude to a customer problem i assume they think if they dont reply to our e-mails that implies that its not there problem, wrong what ever way you look at this its a Sale of Goods issue the product no fit for purpose
Good Afternoon.
John.
We have registered with the Clean it up web site. We asked a question regarding aluminium poles; I suggest you visit the site and look at some of the comments
I have forwarded an e-mail below which confirms what we a have been saying all along I have had numerous comments regarding your products and customer service from other companies. I am still waiting for a reply for our previous e-mail dated 25th of October.
Please be assured this not the way we do business, all we want is fair treatment as a customer.
In the next few days I will be receiving other likewise comments which we will be presenting should we need to go to the Small Claims Court if we cant reach an agreement over the 4 poles.
Please be assured we have every intention of pursuing this problem to a satisfactory conclusion whatever it takes.
Hi.
I bought 8 25ft 3YG poles and 1 36ft 3YG from Brodex on 27/11/09. Having dealt with XXXXXXX in the past I was aware that their delivery time can be an issue so I insisted that they send me 2 free bare poles to prevent any down time if there were issues and we needed to order replacements.
When the poles arrived I was happy with them initially as they seemed robust and were not overly heavy as I had feared they might be. However within the first week it became clear that the glue they were using to attach the pole to the clamps was suspect, so I began sending sections back to them as the clamps had become detached from the poles. Brodex sent me replacements which had the same issues.
This continued until March this year when I decided to solve the issue myself with chemical metal compound which worked a treat.
Then, last month we found that some of the sections on some of the poles (only the 25ft ones) had become bent. These were all on different poles used by different lads and as most of the poles have had replacement sections it is impossible to determine whether the bent sections are all from a single batch of replacements.
Having called xxxxx to order replacements they insisted it was impossible to bend these poles with 'normal' usage. I currently have 7 bent sections and although I cant be certain I suspect that they are all from a bad batch of replacements.
I will no doubt be having the same argument with xxxxxx in the coming months as you are. I do still have a few spare sections but I suspect that these will probably not last long into the new year.
Please keep me posted on any progress, and good luck.
Regards
