Advice needed for commercial clean pole size
« on: October 27, 2010, 08:46:33 am »
I am pricing up some large (for me) commercial buildings, i am using a clx 22 for all of my usual work up to 2 storey, 2 of the sites im looking at are 2 storey with large areas of glass up to the roof height which would be almost 3 storey, just wondered what  size poles you use on these type of cleans, i am thinking of getting a clx 27 would this do? it seems that over this size starts to get very expensive due to weight etc.
Any advice appreciated!
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.

i got a xtel  with 7 sections,  and find this can get up some 4 floors but does most 3 floors, and just take the sections off that i dont want to use

i have a brodex hydra 25 footer that just about reaches 3 storey on a few big houses and commercial i clean.i like the extra weight at this height as if its a bit windy i would think the clx would blow away!

i also have a 30 ft unger extension pole converted into a wfp.its awful and very bendy but it would do if i need it for even more height esp if its just for one or two jobs.

i also use the clx 22ft for everyday run of the mill work.great pole.

maybe the clx 27footer is the right choice as then you can use it as a back up pole for when you snap a clamp on the 22ft!just be careful at full extend on even slightly windy days esp if your cleaning on a main road!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
