« on: October 25, 2010, 08:57:26 pm »
I know it supposed to help but not today!  >:(

Only got one key for the van and it decided it was going to stop working today now the van immobiliser will not recognise the key and can not turn alarm off key is totally dead tried new battery nothing, tide resinc nothing.

So tom is out in the car with the trolley, lucky i kept it was going to get rid but now i think i will keep for just a situation not quite sure how long it will last water wise bt not got much tom so we will see.

So now i got to get van towed to Renault then they are going to charge me the world for a new key between £80-£180 apparently, oh and the best bit !! it may take up to a week to come >:( >:( >:(

Keys for a mondeo are a fortune as well except they can be done the same day. Might be an idea to get a spare done. Good job you had the trolly as a backup.

Simon.

Thats great thanks, might be out of action for about 10 days though aparently. How can it take ten days for them to get a key and reprogram.  :-\

Any auto electrician can do it, they don't need the master key either. Recently got one for my vivaro, took him 15 mins and cost £70.

10 days? They having a laugh?

No they didn't bypass the immobilisor, it still functions as it should. It was for a 2 button key, exactly as per the master key. Ibeleive the price for a 3 button key was slightly higher (£110 ish).

The company are north west based. I'm happy to pass details on to anybody interested.

Had a transponder key cut and coded for my vivaro £75.00 but they do need your code card, when they programme.

When ordered was told it would take 2 days to get in, but they phoned next day said it had come in .
If any one wants number i will dig it out.
Really good service.
