Can anyone suggest something to get Graffiti off a painted wall?

A few more details may help!  What is the wall currently painted with?  What substrate is the wall?  How has the graffiti been applied and what with if known?

How long has the graffiti been there? The longer its been there the harder it will be to shift. There are industrial graffiti removers that the council use. Its toxic stuff, very bad for the environment and You!! If you combine that. apply this stuff on and give it some time to work, then hit it with your pressure washer ( you may need 4000 psi 13 hp ) it should shift. If there is anything left of the wall after that it may need to be re painted, but should be ok. Do test area first.

The wall is in a stairwell so cant be jet washed .

 just emulsion.

Not sure how long Graffiti has been there.
Aerosol spray paint.

i would try graffiti wipes from graffitihotline.co.uk, with it being emulsion then you wil probably damage this paint when removing the graffiti and may have to repaint, if you try just painting over the graffiti without removing first then there is a chance the graffiti will wick back through the fress paint.

There is a graffiti removal maching that uses a suction like perspex glass that clamps onto the wall or area to be cleand. You then use a scriber type object to remove the affected area. I test drove one so to speak 2 years ago, its a long cylindrical type contraption. Takes a fair bit of practice. uses sand at high pressure to score of the graffiti. Forget what it was called, I could find out, maybe it went by the way side, it was a bit hair brained.

It will be easier to just apply Aqua Mix Sealing and Coating Remover to remove the aerosol paint then just re emulsion the wall

Few lads I know are graff artists, and they are always using new things...amazes me, was shown an ink that is invisible when applied, then comes out stronger over time and sunlight.

I really should get into the graff removal business...could prove quite lucrative

Thats it yeah, the Tornado. I came so close to buying one of those. I bought my Ionic system from the guy who first brought them in here. He is doing a new system now, a scratch removal thing for glass. I looked into it, its called Novus, from the states, uses a resin type substance to fill the glass, i believe. He does the Gutter upkeeper too and the speed liner. Some set up he has, theyr'e huge here in Dublin, Ailesbury Services theyre called.
