water softner
« on: September 22, 2005, 05:21:21 am »
Hi I live in the states.  I Have asked a culligan guy about renting one of there di tanks.  I mentioned i was going to use it with my ro filter.  He asked why i was using an ro. I told him too make the di last longer.  He said it would do that , but it would be cheaper just to get a water softner added to my house.  Fill a storage tank with it and then run it through the di.  He seemed to indicate it would do the Job but a lot cheaper.  My question is if he is right surley all you cleaners in English hard water areas would use a softner instead of an ro.  Anyone enlighten me  :-\

     Thanks Missouri mike
