the contractor shall submit one invoice to the client annualy in arrears. each invoice shall be submited in april and shall be submitted for the previous years work
the client shall pay the price of the services each month in arrears and based on 1/12 of the current years contract price.

you have to work a whole year then you get a bit of money  :'( that's scandalous i bet their tenants don't live in a house for whole year then pay rent in arrears or maybe they do  ???

Hi you have got this wrong

You tender and if you win ,you get  a three year contract

You get paid monthly (BACS )and at the end of the year you put one invoice

Very simple

been working for them for 5 years

I currently do one and I am quoting for 2 more. They are brilliant to work for they just split the yearly price by 12 and pay you monthly by bacs. The paperwork is over the top but dont be put off by it.

It wont become the norm and if commercial organisations tried to implement it theyd have to change as they wouldnt get clean windows.

from what the others have said I think you are reading this wrong, a simple call will clarify though,

But I take that as already suggested you supply an invoice in april, but you are paid monthly in the mean time at the end of each month.

It make sense as it cuts on administration as it is only one invoice to deal with per year per contractor

I will guarentee that you will get paid monthly in arrears. Normally I get paid on the 4th of every month. They changed the way they paid around 2 years ago. Originally I had to send an invoice at the end of the month and would get paid around 30 days later, now I do not have to send an invoice until the end of the year but they still pay monthly. It is a weird way of doing the paperwork as really you are sending a receipt for money recieved throughout the year. They have done this to cut down on paperwork. I have six contracts sat in front of me at present 2 of which have to be in by the weekend. They are all the same as my previous renewed ones. Housing 21 are brilliant to work for but if you would prefer not to listen to this advice and lose what could be a good contract that is up to you.
