Sadly this is getting more and more common with big stores, Ive lost a few recently to national contractors and have noticed the standard of cleaning with them isnt great :. Apparently for them it cheaper/easier to pay just one contactor, but what is happening is they are losing the personal touch............Pay peanuts....Get monkeys

Many of these national contracts have the most snot ridden filthy scum holes on their books. In the past I have gone as far a sending photos to regional managers showing just how filthy the place is. The stock answer is that they are being done on a national contract basis and that is that. The only way to pick up individual stores is if you find a manager with some balls who will make the decision to spend out of his own budget, even then they are a bit shakey as the regional boss tends to visit on a regular basis, and will happily p on everybodys chips. These so called national contractors should be ashamed of themselves, they routinely invoice for work that has simply not been done, and the work that has been done is often shoddy. It makes me angry when I see potential jobs and revenue lost to some greedy toe rag that sits back and counts the money without actually doing the work. rant over
