Screen printing is better mate.
I use Carrera 2000.
Britannia Mill
Cobden St, Bury BL9 6AW
0161 763 7519
You pay a set up fee for the screen about 15 quid and they supply and print the clothing.
Crew neck t-shirts we get are 6 quid each supply and print. Polo's 8 quid and hoodies 13 quid. Large print on back and small print on left breast.
I've always considered embroidered clothing tatty.

IMO embroided looks MUCH better and much more professional plus the actual print lasts longer and washes better - the only down side is if you want the back done as well as the breast/sleeve then the price will be quite high as embroidery tends to get costly for large print areas. Also intricate logos and multiple colours are harder to embroider so it depends what you want them for really.

can you recommend a company to try cleaning team? my last would charge £4.50 for back (was fairly big but the tv shirt was badly streched), and £2.50 for front. plus then i had to buy my own tops.

Having used screen printing for years I was asked to try embroidery
No contest embroidery by far looks so much better, stands out from the others and doesn't fade with time
Costs
Screen set up £30 screen print front badge rear logo £2 per shirt
Embroidery set up £40 front badge rear logo £2 per shirt but change colour free of charge

Embroided every time.
We actually use a supplier that we found via ebay.
Can't for the life of me think of there name but I'll dig it out tomorrow.
Can't fault the quality and value.
One other point, go for polo shirts. They don't need ironing, which will please everyone, and always look way better, especially on those that don't seem to own an iron :

Here you go: -
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/dewdrew1/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
Contact them before buying. I am sure they offer discount for multiple purchases.
