I find soft last longer, hard rubbers nick alot easier. I also find that when you clean georgian windows with a soft rubber you get a line in the middle of the pane from where you turn the blade, this doesnt happen with hard rubbers. So what I do is use hard in my small blade and soft in my big blades.
