Irwell Valley Housing Association Limited (IVHA) is a charitable,
not-for-profit housing association, providing housing and management
services to 7 100 households across the Greater Manchester area. Over 18
000 customers occupy its properties.
IVHA's properties are located in Greater Manchester, West Lancashire,
South Ribble and Rossendale covering 12 local authority areas. Some
properties are in areas of high deprivation.
IVHA is governed by a Board comprising nine independent members and three
customer members.
In a recent short notice inspection IVHA was rated as having "Excellent
Prospects for Improvement".
IVHA is seeking to appoint a contractor(s) to undertake a comprehensive
cleaning and window cleaning service to the communal areas of numerous
properties across its portfolio, the contract(s) will also include
cleaning to commercial premises. Interested companies will be required to
complete a pre - qualification questionnaire. The contract will commence
in 2011 and will run for 3 years with an option exercisable solely at the
unilateral discretion of IVHA to extend for a further 2 years subject to
satisfactory contractor performance. It is anticipated that the scale and
scope of the contract could increase or decrease as required by IVHA'S
residents.
