Water in Car headlight
« on: October 07, 2010, 10:07:17 am »
Hi,
I don't know whether this post is suitable for this section or not but I have a problem and wanna ask you.
Due to heavy rain some water slipped in my car's head light. Now I can't understand how to remove it. I tried heating the glass thinking that water may evaporate but it's not effective. Can any one help me in this?

When it happened to my old van,  I replaced the headlamp.
So much water in it that I could have stuck a goldfish in there.  It was about half full when I replaced it.

Drill a small hole 2mm (or smaller) in the underside of the headlamp to let the water drain. Then fill hole with clear mastic.
