I have dealt with Mark Robbins at wintecs since they first started.
I have always found him to be a totally decent, honorable, and obliging guy.
If you speak to him explaining the exact circumstances, he will I am sure try and look at all the angles from his end.
No reputable company, and in my opinion Wintecs is just that, can afford to allow this kind of thing to happen, it could put him out of business.
I have always found their service second to none, and I hasten to add I have no connection with this company whatsoever.

i go along with that ive never had a problem with any order from them and they have always been helpful
again im not connected to them in any way

would be interesting to hear wintecs side of things

there business and reputation is being smashed to bits on here!!! ?

Thats not happening for starters on here.

Do you really think us oiks, on CIU, that represent a measely 1% of window cleaners in the UK are seriously going to affect Wintecs reputation.

What about the other 99%?
I'm in a bit of a quandry here. I've previously used Wintecs and found them fine and had no probs. Infact i've just recommended my mate to get the hose reels he needs from there. Now, although i've had no problem that doesn;t mean there isn't one now. Should i tell my mate to go ahead and order knowing what i now know?

Scary innit, who do you trust, got stung with my first with my first purchase from wintec, will think twice about using them again, which is a shame. Does anybody from Wintec come on here? cos I think they need to be made aware of the damage bieng caused to their business, and it needs to be sorted pronto or their business might end up down the pan ???

Well Said.

I think it is pretty out of order to accuse a company in front of hundreds, (potentialy thousands) of people without any proof.

Just because it seems very likely they have a problem does not mean they do. Imagine if one of your customers were to put something in the local paper informing all your existing and potential new customers that you stole money from them when they paid you. (that is what has been done here)

Your business could be ruined and you may be totaly innocent.
Perhaps Wintecs do have a problem, they may be working furiously to resolve it. either way the damage is done now.

I have never used them and now most likely will not. Shame that, as I here they were a good company. Perhaps shut down by one man!!!

One man? I count atleast 6 that have had problems after using them. Coincidence? Unlikely to me.

And blue monkey phoned them to tell them of the problem before he posted this thread. He was stonewalled and told it definately couldn't be them. They have surely known about this thread for a couple of days now and have chose not to respond / defend themselves.

I personally am thankfull to anybody who puts out a warning that potentially stops people getting scammed. I've experienced it before for nearly £2k, it isn't much fun.

Doesn't it say on the bank statement where the money is going/gone?

If the bank won't tell you over the phone, log in to internet banking and see?

Or walk into yr branch and ask for a printout of your recent transactions to see where the funds have gone.

Failing that ask to discuss the matter a branch manager..

They have always given me a good service i didnt know they didnt have a proper card facility. Make sure you have your facts right because will have lost them business for posting this and if you prove that it was them im sure they would reimburse you your money. plus there jw's theres no way they would commit fraud....

Thank you Blue monkey for showing royal to the members of this forum and warning us of the problem. The way we respond is our own chose. Until we realize we are all in one boat we will never be a profession. Our loyalty to each should be above all to unit us as one body. Come on Guys. We all face the same hardships and the supplies all face different problems they need to sort out theirs out. If Windec  turns its back on it customers and will not pay heed to this problem walks away from its responsibilities they must live with the  aftermath. We need to close ranks on out industries problems and sort them out .The same suppliers need to sort there own out.
Business is not the place for so much emotional loyalty.

^ Most ridiculous statement posted so far.

And btw, nobody is accusing them of fraud, it may possibly be a seperate 3rd party that have compromised the secure system, in which case wintecs are victims too. Just a thought.

You really should pursue it with your bank, go in and talk to the manager.

i have followed it up with my bank   and they told me when i used the card at wintecs an exact payment for same amount went to some where else,  so 2 payments went out,  i could of been unlucky but too many have come on and said they have had problems with them as well,   its like when someone comes on and says gardiners brushes are crap  people still buy them,
