Hi All

I have a good website built by a friend, and hosting through him, but we have fallen out because it takes months for any updates to be done.

So my question is (a man of little know  ???)

How do i move my website to someone or something else??

you'll need your own hosting package and then you'll just simple need to transfer the domain to the same company, or get however the name is registered with (i'm seeing either vistaprint or fasthosts.co.uk) to point to the new hosting company. my recommendation is www.vidahost.com. i've always used them and cannot fault the service and prices. if you get stuck and would like better advice send them a message and they'll tell you exactly what you need to do. http://www.vidahost.com/contact i often email in the early hours of the morning and will get a reply within minutes so if you see this tonight you can have it sorted straight away hopefully.

p.s i like your site.

Hmm nice site Big Al but one of your blogs from July 2010 http://www.puritycleaning.co.uk/?page=blog is copied and pasted from a blog of mine from April at http://freshlymaid.blogspot.com.  Please remove the posting as you can't simply change the dates of being in business and keep everything else pretty much word for word!

This is not the first time this has happened and I regularly check chunks of text to make sure my site isn't being plagiarised and I will contact hosting companies if necessary to have offending sites taken off line.

Thank you

Diane (also known as ped off of Yorkshire)

Hi Diane,

I like your blog page

Sounds very corporate. With new team members, induction training, health checks and regular meeting... wow

Aww thanks Dave, it seems to be working even if I am making a lot of it up as I go along! (as well as learning from some of the more experienced ppl on here of course)

Cheers
