Unkinkable hose
« on: September 27, 2010, 05:03:20 pm »
I bought a new hose yesterday for tank to tank transfer.

It's unkinkable and guaranteed not to for 20 years! £30. Result I reckon.
You don't get a reel, so it's quite pricey, but I had one from the last hose anyway.

I bought the previous hose a couple of months ago and it took about 45 minutes to fill my tank.
However, after a few weeks it had so many kinks and twists that it was taking nearly 3 hours to fill it! >:(
It's flying through this new one, and should continue to!

No reason for this post really, just wanted to tell people because I was so pleased! ;D

Squaky,

Where did you get it from?

Is it three quarter bore?

My hose is always kinking. I repair it with splints made from hose and tape to restraighten it.

yes it is good squeaky, I used it for a while as my main hose from the reel. until it was pointed out it should be bright yellow. but again it does a good job I have 50m in my garage I think that was £30 for 50m from B&Q

This is garden hose and it's not guaranteed not to kink, in other words rubbish.

I thought you'd found a transfer hose.

No its not, but if you want a good !/2 inch hose it is very good, I have no use for mine except in the garden, but if it suits squeaky's set up then good for him.

Yes it is, what do you know?
I checked on the guarantee in the store. And if by transfer you mean tank to tank, then yes, I did say that... ::)
