Does anyone who has the cleaners mate software know if you can set it up so you dont duplicate clients when entering them ?

I keep putting them in and finding they already exist ?  -   when i use to use excell it was set to alert if client already existed to stop you duplicating.

Its hard to remember if they are existing client sometimes, and i dont want to end up with lots of duplications of the same client

Dead easy mate, i just search by using the facility. If they aint there then I put them in. Simplez

its great for searching for phone numbers, invoices etc etc. Use it all the time. God this proggy makes me so efficient lol

the wife says theres no alert for duplicates, she asked kev. you have to search first.

Ok thanks for the replies, its what i thought might be the case, just makes the process alot longer if you have to search every one before entering it !

Maybe a good point for a future upgrade

I didn't get any I don't think, but I got this package and it's the best ROI I have made in a while, you are loosing money everyday you haven't got it in my eyes.

The one my son designed has not got that feature yet but he is working on it

Just switched to Linux due to Computer death  That is only another problem just need mother board to die and cuput . yet more files  from another dead computer to  store

Its great works quicker than windows , but at present wont take my dragon simply speaking software  so I an still two fingers actually one data entry

According to the website http://www.carpetcleaningsoftware.co.uk you do get template letters/labels and stuff (in Word).

So its easy to create your own/edit the ones they give - thats what ive done.

You do get templates/letters which you can amend to suit you.

I'm tempted to get it. I've always used Excel spread sheets for coostmers.

Wish i had somthing (maybe like a pdf?) constantly on me so i was able to bring up clients details I.E. HOW MUCH I CHARGED THEM LAST TIME!! when they call to book another job

What a sad lot the current generation are becoming when they need a computer programme to run as simple a business as carpet cleaning.

A day to a page diary and address book does the job quickly and effectively.

Sounds great robert but what you gonna do when they ring up and the last time you did em was 4yrs ago? Go through 4yrs of diarys til you find em? How sad is that :

The beauty of cleaners mate is that as soon as you open up a client, it displays all their invoices which you can look at in further detail - so you know within a few seconds what you charged them and what you did.

Running a 'simple' cleaning business aint like the old days, there is more competition and its a battlefield out there. You have to get smart and this software does it, but it doesnt mean you have to be a geek to reap all the extra benefits that cleaners mate brings.

I was sceptical at first, but wow I havent looked back since getting it.

bob, its agood bit of kit mate. its not just about custies, it give you knowledge of where those custies come from, which advertising got you the most revenue last year,last month. bulk email, bulk printing of address labels. all at the click of a button.

certainly worth a look.

ps.. i got a diary too, couldn't be without it.
