Hi all...have the chance of a new cleaning contract at a small dental practice. For obvious reasons the practice manager doesn't want the surgery floors mopped because of the risks involving contamination...so the question is what cleaning system and solutions would you use for surgery hard floors?

Hi Neil, there are a number of dry mopping systems available microfibre are best. a number of trials using microfibres have been conducted in hospitals with very positive results.

You can use BIG WHITE MOPS which are like strip mops. these are widely used throughout the NHS becouse of their low lint properties and they are also fast drying therefor reducing bacteria. you can also mop almost dry with these mops this also alows the floors to dry faster ideal for areas which are in frquent use.

thats weird, when i have done dental practices, the only thing we would do in the consulting rooms, was the floors, the nurses would then do the work surfaces

I'm with Martin on this!! we do a couple of dental surgery's and all we do are the floors!

I get fed up to the back teeth with it!!  !
