NOW ITS WAR
« on: September 22, 2010, 06:49:11 pm »
I'm an easy going fella hence the name BFG and I'm a lover of life and all it has to offer including all kinds of wildlife no matter how big or small,    and although I'm 6 ft 6 and weight 19 stone I'm a big puff when it comes to wasps and hornets but I would never kill one unless I really had to.

and although I'm a lover of spiders today was the straw that broke the cammells back cos just as I was walking down the side of a customers house I walked right through a massive web which wrapped itself around my scouse bonnet and it was full of them.

in fact one spider was so bleedin big it didn't run it SKIPPED  ;D ;D ;D ;D

so thats it for the rest of Autumn until the little blighters have moved indoors their getting the hot water treatment,

ive4 been scratching like a ransid pikey since it happened so off for a nice hot bath.

When i see a big web I like to aim my water at it. (no not that one, the one from my brush) they think its a fly and come rushing out. always makes me laugh.

My problem is that at 6'3" tall, I pick up dozens every day that the smaller postie, binman, houseowner, etc have missed.

the cobwebs are always in the same place . i seem to remember when walking round an house . i hold the pole in front of me at head height . that takes all the impact . better than a gob full of baby spiders ;)

It's a funny kind of psychology. For men spider webs weird us out. For women it means something isn't clean. Back in the 50's horror great Vincent Price had the director cover an opening w/ webs at head high that he walked thru When asked why he did that he replied "to scare the men in the audience" noting that the women would see a doorway that needed a good brooming down but that men would be in full shiver mode.
