Email address reply
« on: September 20, 2010, 07:21:17 pm »
Can any of you computer whizz kids help please.

I use outlook as my email thingamajig.

However my problem is when I reply to an email it gives my personal email as the reply address, is there any way I can change it to give a different one?

It’s getting confusing for customers who email to my business address (which is then directed to my personal) only to receive a reply from me at a completely different address.

Not sure if this will work in outlook but go to TOOLS.....Click ACOUNTS.... Highlight the email address you use and click PROPERTIES.  Then under general tab you should beable to change the name of your personal email to the company name and change the reply email address also

This may work for outlook  :) or it may be complete nonense  :(

This worked partly, although my personal address still shows I have a least changed the reply address. I will keep messing and maybe get it just how I want it.
Thanks Rob

Your welcome.

Have you changed the name also?  That way it shouldn't even show an email address but just company name.
