What do you define as a 'bad payer'?  I've customers who don't pay for 3 or 4 months, but they always cough up, so I think these are good payers.

You have to be able to turn over an amount that far exceeds what you need to live to allow for cash flow problems (IMO).

Also, collecting is a pain, though I still do it for about 40% of my work which is compact.  The rest I just leave envelopes or invoice.

It's got to be more than just because people pay late. For everyone that fails to pay this month they will pay at some point. My turnover and payments are just about the same with the same amount of £ owing.

sounds like a holiday or a bit of time off wouldnt do you any harm mate.thats what i do when i get fed up with the job which lets be honest  we all do from time to time especially when we ve been doing it for years!! ;) ;D ;D
