When I was 16 I had a job working at a shooting school near me and had to climb the high tower up a titchy little ladder. 70ft.
First few times I did it I filled my pants but after that it got easier and after a while I could breeze up it. Its amazing what you get used to
Seeing that video reminded me of the late great Fred Dibnah and his climbing exploits. I remember him climbing an old church spire. Going right up the outside on rusty old Victorian steel rungs set in the crumbling mortar.
He turns to the camera near the top and says "you have to be careful with these, they are a bit loose" and to illustrate his point he pulls one out and waves it at the camera before putting it back and climbing on it. Priceless.
