I have a friend who is a chimney sweep... His prices start at £40. There is good money in it.

Takes a lot of work to build up though because the repeat work is only every 6 - 12 months!

Being a tight git, i did my own. Never again , i made hell of a mess  :
It went every where! could'nt get it out of the carpet 
I tried to tape a empty sack to the fire place with a slit cut in the middle for the pole to poke through. Umm  the sack fell of  and you can picture the rest , red and black carpet just don't look right.

from my point of view it's the best 40 quid i pay each yr
