You probably have not failed at all.

A couple of years ago I quoted a huge empty office block with acres of low profile carpet. With Dry Fusion it would have been a real good earner.

The trouble was that they were so badly worn that I could not have done much whichever system I used.

The guy thanked me for my honesty and I walked away.

Sometimes there is simply nothing you can do.

Maybe an improvement up to 50% of new was a fantastic achievement?

cheers gary, not had a call yet so no news is good news. does knock you back a bit though when you don't see much diff.

The thing is Derek, we all (hopefully) have integrity and know if we could have done better or not.

We'd also like to walk away from a perfect job each time but it does not happen that way.

In this case, that 50% may be a fantastic result in your client's eyes.
