you put the hose in a bucket of water as you move the brush about the water from the bucket is drawn up the hose by something called a non return valve, which means that once the water is drawn into the hose it cant get back out again because the valve closes.

Could this system be used as a substitute for the electric pump used in WFP i saw it demonstrated on TV apparantly it's been around for years and millions have been sold.
