had canvassers working for me,not very good,got me 1 lead yesterday,rang them up and they dont want them cleaning as they are moving,
 anyway i told the canvasser and they said they want paying,in fairness i signed a contract.
 i told them ill pay you for work so they have threatened me if i dont pay by friday they will sue me and contact there solicitors.
 This was a new company started yesterday!
 I have said i will but thats it,i shallnt be using them again,told em that to and will be collecting my folder with everything i gave them!

i know what your saying m8,but in 2 days they have 1 lead which in my opinion is shocking.
looks like ill be out knocking again and the mrs!
i set them a target of 150 new custys i think it will be 10 years time till they get me that many,lol

Doc you need the feedback, what people where saying, what objectives, who was in, who was out.

They should be giving you a detailed report on each street, because the results will then reflect on the better place to canvass.

i said 3 days to start with this week
no breakdown as yet
but they are fired as i didnt like the attitude of that text and they are out representing my business!
i will look for someone else in the future!

seems they have done one road and they already have window cleaners!
Didnt think i will try a different street!
Oh well,looks like i will be out knocking and and try and persuade the mrs to knock as she gets me atleast 2 a hour when shes out knocking!

That probably says it all Doc, the Mrs gets more, because its more personal.

I think its a very difficult divide between domestic and commercial.

Commercial should be contacted professionally, phone call, appointment, quote and follow up.

Domestic your community based.

Plus you dont know whose representing your business, you dont know whose knocking on doors, you dont know mannerisms, how people interact with other people, did they give you a run down on how they approach things?

i was going to get them to tell me how they were saying it but didnt as they said they have experience etc.
oh well not worth worrying about but i just hoped that they were going to help me build my business to the next level.

in that case they have earned nothing and you owe nothing, they would be hard pushed getting money out of me, but even if they did its commission on one job that there is no value to

Comm only is a very sticky subject with the likes of myself and other telemarketing peeps over on UKBF.  Many discussions.

To be comm only a job has to be of high value to the telemarketer.

It either has to be quite an easy sell, high volume (not many of those around)

Or the product has to be of high value to earn a decent commission

they have a big pack with new customer sheets pricig info and leaflets so im gonna pay them and let them have the money,but wont use them again or be recommending them to anyone anytime soon.

but i thought for a good sales person 3 a hour would be nothing as i have achieved these results when i have been out,so 3-5 each for 2 of them should be a breeze times the comision rate would be a high wage!

right i am now confused.com they have a pack with new customers on it, earlier they had only got you one, how many customers have they got they might be good leads, you can't really judge until you have met all these customers

I think he meant they had sheets to fill in, with all new leads. They only filled in 1 sheet and it was a blag lead. That's how I read it.

I cant comment with regards to high value jobs and comm

I worked for a food magazine for 4 years on comm only @ 20%

But I was selling space from anywhere from £50 to £600 an advert.

Will add I dont do comm only anymore havent done for a few years.
