recharging di tank. How easy?
« on: September 14, 2005, 12:25:54 am »
Hi.  I read about the price of resin which makes me think you can recharge your di tank yourself.  However i read one post saying acid was involved and therefore a proper pure water service man was needed.  Which is the case ?

       Thanks Misssouri Mike

I asked the same question to a chap at silverline and he said you need a licence as it involves using chemicals.

Have a go anyway! If you dont die tell us and i'll have a go at it.

Hi Mike,

Here in the UK we do not have any firms who can re-charge the DI resin. However, over in the US, it is widely available. You need to ask around your end.

Hi I think i'll skip the exsperiment.  But does that mean you in uk just buy another tank when resin is used up? If so why do you buy resin ???

  Thanks MIke

Hi again Mike

There are several options open to us here in the UK.

1) We buy the resin and fill the tanks ourselves

2) you buy disposable resin tanks
